As anticipated, the West Texas District of the Assemblies of God is getting a new website. Yep, this is it! It is our desire to provide up to date resources and information for the district as the site continues to be built. As many of you know, it is never a done deal with websites. We have to keep improving, keep adding, and keep up to date. This site will make it easier for the site to be maintained by district staff and department leaders, in due time, so they can keep you up to date from where ever they are.free

AG US Missionary & Motorcycle Chaplain, R. Duane Gryder worked as the website developer pro-Bono (that is “free” for those who are not lawyers in the bunch)  and our own Director of Church Ministries, Tracy McWilliams is working side by side to make things happen. Duane will continue as the administrator of the site and Tracy will serve as the on-site editor.  In time, we will facilitate training for other staff personne, district officials, and department heads to help keep everything current.

CalendarSpeaking about up-to-date, the calendar is set up so that Tracy can up date if from anywhere he can get on the internet so the calendar will operate in real time. Plus since we are using Google calendar to feed the site, you will be able to subscribe to the whole calendar or just particular departments and have it go straight to your calendar on your smart phones, desktops, tablets, or laptops in real time.

www_buildingWhat kind of ideas do you have?

We may not be able to do everything that everyone wants, but we sure want to try. Remember, the people doing all of this have full time ministries of their own and have to work things in as they have time, so if we do not get something done quick enough, give us some slack. We are all in this together and, as a family, we can get this done. If there are any complements, you can send them to Duane. If there are any complaints, send them to Tracy. 🙂
